Cool nose of spicy minerality. Compact and dense juice; not to be underestimated power; full-bodied; very dry; spicy citrus and stone fruit; ripe acidity; good balance and harmony; acts round; on the palate minerals develop; a touch of enamel. Long finish with spicy fruit. (Dautel, 8 June 2009)

Kanta Riesling – Egon Müller
Yes, no mistakes here. Egon Müller, the German Riesling supremo, has been making Riesliing in the Adelaide Hills since 2005 and this is no Müller-lite. Though dry, a European approach to winemaking means it’s far removed from Australia’s traditional whistle-clean, sometimes austere, citrus-dominated style. A natural ferment and lees ageing make for a rich texture, which sits well with its ripe orchard fruits and tropical papaya.
